Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
is a gentle treatment aiding the body in ridding excess water, protein, cells and long chain fatty acids. Many patients claim to feel lighter and see visual results after the first treatment. MLD helps boost the immune system, reduce edema and inflammation, decreases sympathetic nervous system activity (Fight or flight) and promotes parasympathetic activity (rest and digest). MLD decreases tendency of fibrotic tissue, promotes pain control, and enhances the function of the lymphatic system.

a symptom, NOT a disease; excess water in tissues usually caused by another condition such as congestive heart failure, kidney disease, venous insufficiencies and pregnancy.
Lipedema
